Even pastors fall into sin | Notes of an Imperfect Christian

When I read about the testimony of Jesus Is Lord Church’s Rev. Edgar Valdoria — a story of rise and fall, repentance and restoration– my first reaction was a mixture of shock, awe and deep respect.

I don’t personally know the man, but I know many wounded Christians will find strength in his testimony knowing that we are not alone in struggling with sin and temptations.

On a personal note, his “coming clean” delivered a strong blow against those ministers who claim to have reached a certain level of spiritual ascendancy, refusing any form of accountability to their subordinates by sovereignly cloaking themselves with the “Touch not the Lord’s anointed” or the “I am the Pastor here” defense mechanisms. Sadly, in our own circles, we all know of a few ministers who seem to claim infallibility.
