Faith and Patience: When God says wait

Ever wonder how Faith is different from Patience?

If you remember, faith and patience are among the fruit of the Holy Spirit. And they are distinct from each other.

Now, let me share to you a wonderful revelation I received this morning while meditating James 1:3-4.

FAITH is TESTED
when we can do NOTHING;
and God says WAIT.

PATIENCE is PERFECTED
when we can do EVERYTHING;
but God says WAIT.

Read James 1:3-4 and observe the wordings.

Knowing this, that the trying of your FAITH works PATIENCE. But let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

James 1:3-4

God TESTS or tries our faith, our ability to TRUST HIM when we are absolutely down to nothing.

But when we are in situation that we feel we can do a lot in our strength, then GOD PERFECTS or molds our patience.

And we know that God’s the molding process is not an easy one.

I hope this inspires you to keep trusting God.

Shalom
